Citrix on Mobile Devices
Citrix_Receiver.png
The Citrix service gives you access to various software applications including Microsoft Office Word 2013, Internet browsers including Firefox and Internet Explorer, Adobe Reader as well as access to your home (H:\ - both students & staff) and shared network drives (staff only).

With Citrix you can access Blackboard via the Internet browser and attach files to items/journals/blogs as well as use Blackboard as you would on a standard Desktop PC / laptop.

If you are using a tablet or mobile device then you can download the Citrix Receiver app for these devices via their app store (e.g. Google Play, iTunes App Store etc) or via the Citrix Receiver download website. If you are using a Windows-based PC / laptop then you can download the web plug-in from the AbNet/StudentNet pages instead.

The Receiver is available for these devices:
Desktops
Smart phones
Tablets
Linux
Mac
Windows
Windows CE
Android
Blackberry
iPhone
Windows Mobile
Blackberry PlayBook
ChromeOS
iPad
Windows 8/8.1/RT

When you log into Citrix you may be prompted for a domain and this is College.

If you find that you are not able to launch Citrix then you could try accessing it from a different Internet browser (Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome).

For Students:
After you install the Citrix Receiver app you can log into Citrix via the link on StudentNet . This will launch the Citrix Receiver app or plugin after you login. See below for information about using it on Android devices.

For Staff:
After you install the Citrix Receiver app you can log into Citrix from the link in COLIN.

ANDROID DEVICES:
If you are using an Android device then it is recommended to use the Firefox browser rather than the standard browser that comes pre-installed on the device. You can download Firefox from the Google Play store.
