BROWSER TOOLBARS:
Pop-ups can also be blocked by various toolbars including Google Toolbar, Ask Toolbar, MSN Toolbar etc so they may also need to be unblocked or allowed from the toolbar as well. In some cases the toolbar may have to be temporarily disabled.

You can view the list of supported browsers in the Recommended Browsers page.

COMPATIBILITY VIEW (INTERNET EXPLORER)
Compatibilty View is used when a web page does not work correctly in Internet Explorer. This can be because the page was designed for an older version of the browser.
Microsoft have provided instructions on how to switch compatibilty view on or off for Internet Explorer 9, 10 or 11 (for Windows 7 & Windows 8). You can select the browser version in the top-right of the page for specific version instructions.

You may experience an error when loading certain course materials, such as the interactive ECDL materials, where the screen just shows 'Receiving Data from LMS' and it does not continue to load the materials. If this occurs then you should enable Compatibilty View and this should then load the materials normally. An alternative is to use Firefox or Chrome browser.

COMMON PLUGINS / SOFTWARE REQUIRED:
To use some course materials you may require additional software or plugins. Common examples of these include:
Adobe Flash Player
Adobe Shockwave Player
Adobe Acrobat Reader
Java
